MirrorCam™

mirror cam teleprompterInstead of talking to some off-camera stranger, the subject speaks right to the
camera. This way, your audience is in the conversation, not just eavesdropping.
The great documentary filmmaker Errol Morris popularized direct to camera
interviews with his creation, the Interrotron. The MirrorCam™gives you the
same effect. Simply put, there are two teleprompters, each fed the video signals
of the opposite camera.
The subject sees the face of the interviewer and vice versa. They just have a
one-on-one conversation over video.
Typically the interviewer and subject are in the same room, but there have been
situations where the two have been in different cities or countries.

The system is dependent on your needs, but can include:

  • Two LCD teleprompters with HD options available.
  • A friendly, skilled operator. It can also go out as a rental only.
  • All necessary video cables and accessories.
  • An optional “B-camera” package of a non-broadcast video camera and C-stand to provide the director’s image.

EyeLiner MP1

eyeliner teleprompterA revolutionary and deceptively simple method to hold your subject’s attention.
You can also make this a substitute for the MirrorCam™, Interrotron, or those
traditional looking-off-camera interviews.
No monitor, electricity, or cables are required, making it perfect for field
shoots too.
The director just stands or sits next to the camera and connects with the subject
in a natural conversation. Gestures and body language are easily picked up too.
It’s not just for the director: the subject’s parent, handler, or wrangler can also
supply natural eye contact and improve the shot tremendously.

The system includes:

  • The EyeLiner MP1 and mounting hardware that fits almost any camera.
  • Friendly to 15-mm rods too.
  • The system arrives in one case; easily carried or shipped worldwide.
